Some Uncle Ben's Rice Recalled in Canada

OTTAWA, June 7 (UPI) — The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says people allergic to milk should avoid eating Uncle Ben’s Bistro Express Rice because it might contain undeclared milk.

The CFIA reported the manufacturer, Mars Canada Inc. of Bolton, Ontario, said the ingredient listing on the outer box of the affected product does not declare milk, although the ingredient listings on the individual pouches are correct.

Uncle Ben’s Bistro Express contains six pouches of rice — two each of three flavors — Fine Herb, Roasted Chicken and Wholegrain Brown. Milk ingredients are present in the Fine Herbs and Roasted Chicken flavors.

The recalled product was distributed across Canada.
