Obama Moves from U.N. to G20 on Thursday

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 24 (UPI) — U.S. President Barack Obama moves from leading the U.N. Security Council Thursday morning to hosting the Group of 20 summit Thursday night.

The Security Council is among the last items of business Obama had before leaving New York, the White House said.

Obama, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown also co-chair a Friends of Pakistan meeting, discussing with other world leaders continued international support for Pakistan, the White House said.

In Pittsburgh, the host city for the G20 economic summit, Obama and his wife, first lady Michelle Obama, will greet world leaders as they arrive. Obama’s schedule included attending a working dinner at the Phipps Conservatory.
