Loblaw Garlic Bread Warning Issued

OTTAWA, June 2 (UPI) — A missing metal pin has prompted Loblaw Companies Ltd. to warn Canadians not to consume its President’s Choice-brand “Baked by You Roasted Garlic Bread.”

In announcing the food safety hazard, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency said the Brampton, Ontario, company is fearful the recalled product might contain a metal holding pin that became dislodged from a processing machine during production.


The bread was distributed nationwide and is sold by Loblaw corporate, franchise and affiliated independent stores. A list of those stores is available at http://www.loblaw.ca/en/customer_storelocator.html

Customers can return the product for a refund with or without a receipt. For further information, they can contact the company at 888-495-5111.
