Corpus Christi, Texas, Fattest U.S. City

NEW YORK, April 20 (UPI) — The magazine Men’s Health, which calculated the top 100 “Fattest U.S. Cities,” found four of the top 10 fattest cities are in Texas.

For the ranking, the magazine calculated the percentage of people who are overweight and diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. They also looked at physical fitness levels, the amount of money spent on junk food and how many people ate fast food nine or more times in one month.


The top 10 fattest cities ranked by Men’s Health are: Corpus Christi, Texas; Charleston, W.Va.; El Paso, Texas; Dallas; Memphis; Kansas City, Mo.; San Antonio; Baltimore and Birmingham, Ala.

The leanest cities are: Aurora, Colo.; Denver; Cincinnati; Portland, Ore.; Albuquerque; Austin, Texas; Seattle; Washington; Burlington, Vt.; and San Francisco.
