UNITED NATIONS, Sept. 22 (UPI) — U.S. President Barack Obama is among the world leaders speaking at a climate change summit at the U.N. headquarters in New York, the White House said.
In addition to delivering remarks Tuesday at the summit, Obama is scheduled to meet separately with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, before the three leaders conduct a trilateral meeting, the White House said.
Obama’s schedule includes a luncheon with Sub-Saharan African Heads of State and a bilateral meeting with President Hu of China.
Obama also will speak at the Clinton Global Initiative and attend U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s Climate Change Summit Dinner at U.N. Headquarters, the White House said.
