Canada Recalls Mrs. Dunster's Ginger Snaps

OTTAWA, May 24 (UPI) — The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning people allergic to milk proteins not to consume Mrs. Dunster’s-brand ginger snaps due to a labeling error.

The CFIA said Mrs. Dunster’s Inc. of Sussex, New Brunswick, initiated the voluntary recall because the old fashioned ginger snaps might contain milk not declared on the label, thereby causing serious or life-threatening reactions in people allergic to milk proteins.

Officials said all “best before” dates up to and including “10 JL 08″ are affected. The product was distributed in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

Consumers with questions can contact the company at 506-872-1482.
