LONDON, Sept. 18 (UPI) — A suspected E.coli outbreak has forced the shutdown of a farm in Nottinghamshire, England, Britain’s Health Protection Agency says.
Two people reportedly became infected with the intestinal virus after visiting the White Post Farm, the BBC reported Friday.
“There are many potential sources of E.coli and as yet there is no confirmation that the farm is the source of infection in these cases, all of whom are well,” the agency said in a statement.
The Health Protection Agency says it is aware of two other cases of E.coli potentially linked to White Post Farm but those cases had different strains of the virus.
