This week we are pruning the teak and surá. What suprised me was that I was told it had to be this week, or we had to wait for a month. The reason, because of the phase of the moon.
According to what Hector and the forestry engineer told me, if you prune at the wrong time, you get a lot of regrowth at the cuts - which sort of defeats the purpose. I was very surprised at that.
There are things you read in books - and then there are things you learn from the locals.

So what's the trick, a waning moon, or is it more specific than that?

I think it is the week of the full moon that you prune. This would mean that the healing was done on a wanning moon - or so I think.

| What about if it's the blue moon? That might have some major significance. Once!
