My daughter an I just went on a 5 mile ride down an old railroad bed. We came upon 3 deer that were crossing the path as we approached. We were talking while we rode up to them and all they did was move to the side to let us by. It was neat!

But they are afraid of snakes!

We recently added another finca and it is in a biological corridor so there is a lot more wildlife. I have seen the print of a puma on the property and a 2.5 meter boa. (got a picture of him!)

I was talking to a working and a neighbor and they said the boa was a small one. They saw one once that was 6 meters long - it was occupied eating a deer!

Granted, deer are much smaller down here, but they aren't THAT small.
