Subject: Jatropha Curcas oil...reaction kinetics
Hello
It's me again. I think i'm better informed now, so here goes:
we are specifically looking at the transesterification of tryglycerides in the acids found in Jatropha oil (mainly palmitic acid, oleic acid and linoleic acid), at atmospheric pressure and in the presence of either KOH or NAOH.
Is that clear enough? I'm not sure, but i'll try and find more information on this process if it is still insufficient.
If you able to extract the OLEIC ACIDS C18:1 = 50-70 and the C18:2 = 20-40 from this Jatropha Oil, please let me know. I am require Oleic Acids Products to Buy.
You should change it into PPO (Pure Plant Oil) by removing or neutralize by degumming it. SJO (Straight Jatropha Oil) will rise the Acids Value as due reaction with O2 and Heat.
