Where can I buy some fertile and open-pollinated (so the seeds from the plants of the seeds purchased will also yield viable Jatropha plants) seeds for Jatropha?

How long do seeds last as crop seed?

Without benefitting any organisation in particular - there are a number of Jatropha Curcas seed suppliers. May I suggest you search on google under the term Jatropha Seeds - this provides a number of seed suppliers predominantly from India. Do bear in mind however that if you are looking for high quality jatropha stock for a larger scale projec tit would be better to purchase appropriate genetic material and cultivate same in your own nursery.

Hi farmers,

I recently purchased some Jatropha Seeds from India. These seeds are of Hybrid Variety and resulted in 87 % germination. The saplings are 1.5 ft now and I have now shifted them into the land. I have also tried seeds from some other countries but the seeds from India are the best ones available in the market. You can more details on Jatropha Seeds by visiting any of the following websites:

Hi,

What do you mean by "appropriate genetic material" specifically what material you are refering to. You had indicated that you do not want to favor one over the other. Perhaps you should in that way one don't waste ones time. This would help eliminate the inferior products. There are so much out there some of these individuals give the impression they are experts and after spending time or visiting there operations it's just someone with a garden.
