That's the most energy inefficient thing I've ever heard.
Honestly, if scientists take the time to make something THAT complex, they might as well make it affordable too.

But you can't put a price tag on saving planet earth, right?

Psh.

Anthony: I think a lot of people who would otherwise be far more skeptical about global warming alarm are embracing it for a variety of reasons unrelated to the science - as you point out, many of them are left wing and they like the political and economic agenda that accompanies global warming alarm. Others want energy independence, and think this is a harmless way to accelerate that process. Sadly, many entrepreneurs are seduced by the billions in subsidies that are being thrown at "green" solutions.

May I also point out, however, that within the myriad of opportunistic flim-flam that is being enabled and encouraged by global warming alarm, there are still exciting new technologies we should support. One of the harmful side-effects of global warming alarm is that those who see through it and see the hidden agendas are simultaneously being turned off to recognizing genuine environmental threats, as well as genuine green innovations.

Not only are huge environmental problems being downplayed ever since global warming alarm became the big new issue - collapse of ocean fisheries, China's utterly filthy industrialization that CO2 has NOTHING to do with, and the final destruction of tropical rainforests to grow supposedly "carbon neutral" biofuel - but should AGW hysteria turn out to be unfounded, and it probably will be, there will be a broad backlash against the environmental movement and green technology. And the good causes and concepts will be thrown out with the bad.

Sir,

Global warming has become the new religion of the left. The same people who cannot give me an accurate 72 hour weather forecast want me to believe they know what the climate will be like in 30 years? I doubt that.
