Snow Storm Hits Beijing

Chinese soldiers gear up with shovels and brooms to clear away snow drifts on Tianmen Square during a heavy snow storm in Beijing on January 3, 2010. A freezing cold front swept over much of northern China Sunday with heavy snowstorms snarling New Year traffic and air travel, and some of the lowest temperatures in decades are forecast over the next few days. There was no notice whatsoever at the subway line to the airport, Sanyuanqiao saw flow of people comin out from the subway station, where only 2 security guys were trying to say or stop the crowds to go any further. No car, no bus, nothing at all for all the people waiting in the storm at sanyuanqiao crossroad.
We are sincerely sorry that a city like Beijing is still so weak when it comes to this kind of situation.

and we all love to stare at Chinese people staring at the snow…
